Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services offered by Joyful Doggies ("I", "me", "my"), operated by Joy in Colindale, NW London. By making an enquiry or booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
1. Services Provided
Joyful Doggies offers the following services:
- In-Home Dog Boarding: Your dog stays in my private home as a guest, receiving personal care, feeding, walks, and company.
- Dog Walking: 60-minute walks including pick-up and drop-off within designated service areas (Colindale, Hendon, Hampstead, Primrose Hill, St Johns Wood, Finchley).
2. Bookings & Availability
All bookings are subject to availability and must be confirmed by me in writing (via email or message) before they are considered accepted. An enquiry form submission does not constitute a confirmed booking. I reserve the right to decline any booking at my discretion.
A meet-and-greet session may be required before boarding is confirmed, to ensure compatibility between your dog and my home environment.
3. Your Dog's Health & Vaccinations
To protect the health and safety of all dogs in my care, the following conditions apply:
- Your dog must be up to date with all core vaccinations (or have a valid titre test). Proof may be requested.
- Your dog must be treated regularly for fleas, ticks, and worms.
- Your dog must be in good general health. Dogs showing signs of illness will not be accepted.
- All dogs must arrive in a clean state. Dogs arriving in an unclean condition may incur a grooming charge or may be declined.
- You must disclose any behavioural issues, dietary requirements, or medical conditions prior to booking.
4. Cancellation Policy
I understand plans can change. My cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 7 days' notice: Full refund or rescheduling at no charge.
- 3โ7 days' notice: 50% of the agreed fee may be retained.
- Less than 48 hours' notice: Full fee may be retained.
- Cancellations due to illness (your dog or a family emergency) will be handled sympathetically on a case-by-case basis.
5. Payment
Payment terms will be agreed at the time of booking. I reserve the right to request a deposit to secure availability, particularly during peak periods (school holidays, bank holidays). All prices are as agreed and communicated directly โ no hidden fees.
6. Emergency Veterinary Care
In the unlikely event of a veterinary emergency while your dog is in my care, I will:
- Contact you immediately.
- Seek emergency veterinary treatment if I cannot reach you and the situation is urgent.
- Use my Canine First Aid training to provide appropriate initial care.
You are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred on behalf of your dog. I recommend that your dog has current pet insurance. I will not be held liable for pre-existing conditions or illness that arises during care that is unrelated to my negligence.
7. Insurance & Liability
Joyful Doggies holds Full Public Liability Insurance. However, I cannot be held responsible for:
- Injury, illness, or death resulting from pre-existing conditions.
- Damage caused by your dog to property or other animals.
- Incidents resulting from inaccurate information provided by you at the time of booking.
You remain legally responsible for your dog's behaviour and any damage or injury your dog may cause.
8. Your Responsibilities
As the dog's owner, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about your dog's health, temperament, and any special requirements.
- Provide sufficient food, medication (if required), and any personal items (lead, bed, toys) for the duration of the stay.
- Ensure your dog is microchipped and wearing an ID tag (as required by UK law).
- Be contactable or provide an emergency contact during your dog's stay.
9. Photos & Updates
I may send you photos and short videos of your dog during their stay or walk for your peace of mind. By agreeing to these terms, you consent to me taking and sharing these images with you privately. I may occasionally share images on social media or marketing materials โ if you would prefer I do not, please let me know at the time of booking.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to These Terms
I may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of my services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
